START OF MODEL

So I have started the model but it is very sketchy but I wanted to post what I have so you all know what step I'm at. I am going to be bringing this model into sketchup and adding the grid pattern to the windows and adding materials so you can see the effects. For now you will have to rely on the elevations to see where the wood is. Tomorrow I will be adding the materials and taking views out of the tower so I can develop the tower windows. My tower is now on the edge of the Mass Pike and is 102' (I think) tall. So it should be a good segment to the Gehry Building. Please remember these are sketchy and are not even close to be finalized!!!

Jaclyn,

Nice modeling. Is this 3d cad or formz? I really think your curved roof sloping over the wall facing the freeway is very successful. I am really anxious to hear from you what materials this wall be comprised of and to see the details...
good work!

Kara,
Details to come mid week. I know we were supposed to have them last week and that's what I started on when I realized I just wasn't happy with the way things were going. So, they will be coming this week. I hope to have the model out of AutoCad and into sketchup with materials tonight. The tower should be complete by mid week as well! Thanks for the comment about the curved roof. That "skin" came when I was thinking about the jurors comments from Boston and Curt's comment about a swooping skin off the freeway.

Jaclyn,
What I can see (not much, my old eyes need more contrast) you are developing yet another interesting skin solution. Try to wrap it up into one idea that supports your original wintergarden concept. I'm looking forward to seeing the tower, the site and of course the details.
