I think you have excellent SketchUp images! I love your elevation that changes colors and morph throughout the day, even the season. I wonder if instead of color the panels could create some nature pattern like wood bark or water on the elevation? I know you have water integrated in other parts of your project. I agree with some of the comments about the two very distinct buildings and how maybe they should be more integrated. I know your design skills are excellent from last semester and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Critics Comments made during the final presentation:
•Re-visit carrying the angle from the academic building to the residence building.
•Look at pulling the two buildings further. The 20’ separation “will create a wind tunnel..."
•The connection between the two buildings should be developed more, the two pieces should relate better. “Looks like two different offices designed the two pieces”.
•You should develop the base of the tower as it connects to the ground.
I am the mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2) currently working on my Architectural Thesis at Boston Architectural College. I have a strong interest in youth and helping them in any way I can. My thesis began by looking for ways to assist them in the society we live in today.
